Overview: Process employees' pay, while maintaining accurate records and submitting required information by Corporate or the state of Georgia. |
Responsibilities and requirements:· Prepare payroll and input information daily to ensure smooth payroll submittal at the end of each pay week and pay period. · Weekly submittal of new hires, terminations and pay changes sent to the corporate office for processing. · Process employee terminations and all pay changes, tax withholding changes, bank information, etc. · Conduct an insurance payroll deduction audit after each pay period to ensure all are correct. · Run overtime reports after each pay period and submit to corporate officers and property managers. · Weekly reporting of new hires in the Georgia new hires reporting system. · Handle 401k open enrollment, hardship withdrawals, and periodic changes to submit to the corporate office. · Responsible for holiday and vacation pay information and records. · Facilitate benefits open enrollment for all employees by tracking eligibility dates. · Submit Georgia medical support notices online when received by the state. · Other duties as assigned by the HR director or corporate. Qualifications and Education Requirements· Must be 18 years of age or older. · Associate's Degree in Finance or Human Resources preferred. · Payroll or Human Resources experience preferred. · Strong computer skills in typing and computer software · Detail-oriented and strong written/verbal communication required. · Basic mathematical skills required. · Must pass a background check. Physical requirements· Must be able to stand for extended periods as well as walking, bending, and stooping on occasion. · Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
