Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. This includes conducting eye exams, diagnosing and treating visual disorders, prescribing corrective lenses, and educating patients on proper eye care. Duties: - Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or diseases - Diagnose and treat visual disorders such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia - Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses to correct vision problems - Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists, to manage complex eye conditions - Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient - Stay informed about advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills Experience: - Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school - Valid state license to practice optometry - Strong knowledge of aseptic technique in the examination of eyes - Experience in ophthalmology, pediatrics, optical, senior care, or related fields is preferred - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic) and medical terminology - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our Optometrists.
