Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join our team. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance in various technical tasks. This position requires strong knowledge in optical systems, medical terminology, sales, medical billing, anatomy, vital signs, physiology, retail sales, aseptic technique, and systems. Duties: - Perform optical tests and measurements to assist with patient assessments - Assist in the fitting and adjustment of eyeglasses and contact lenses - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues - Maintain accurate records of patient information and transactions - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow and patient care - Utilize medical billing software to process payments and insurance claims - Follow aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness and safety standards - Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in optical technology Skills: - Strong knowledge of optical systems and equipment - Proficient in medical terminology related to optometry or ophthalmology - Excellent sales skills with the ability to promote products and services - Familiarity with medical billing procedures and insurance claims processing - Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology related to vision care - Ability to perform vital sign measurements accurately - Experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred - Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and record keeping - Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness in the workplace We offer competitive pay based on experience.
