Job Description
Title: Compliance Analyst - Carrier and Lead Vendor Audits
Reports to: Heather Cranford
Department: Risk & Compliance
Job Summary: This position will be primarily responsible for coordinating and executing carrier and lead vendor audits. This role will help ensure that the company is completely and accurately responding to requests from its carrier partners to demonstrate compliance with regulations and contractual obligations. This position will also help ensure that lead vendor practices are appropriate and will validate that lead vendor creatives have been approved.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Respond to external requests for information from insurance carriers in connection with their oversight of their distribution partners.
  • Perform periodic compliance audits and risk assessments related to ongoing compliance monitoring activities of lead vendors.
  • Provide guidance and assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Assist in the identification, analysis, and resolution of compliance issues.
  • Maintain and review regulatory documentation necessary to maintain corporate standards.
  • Draft, maintain, and disseminate procedures, records, and reports, as needed.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures that adhere to legal and regulatory requirements and Company standards.
  • Work with internal and external partners on compliance and business initiatives.
  • Research and analyze laws and regulations to provide written guidance and respond to insurance compliance questions.
  • Serve as a regulatory subject matter expert and provide compliance guidance to business unit management and helps to resolve any areas of noncompliance.
  • Participate in compliance projects as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Background in the insurance industry or compliance-related position preferred
  • Experience with CMS/Carrier sales requirements preferred
  • Experience with TCPA regulations preferred
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to communicate well to both senior management and sales professionals
  • Analytical skills to work through issues related to the sale of insurance products at both the retail and wholesale level.
  • Ability to build business partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Ability to prioritize work appropriately to ensure we are focus our resources on the highest-risk matters.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and management reporting
