PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
To properly portray our professional image (courteous, poised, professional and friendly) with internal (employees) and external customers and vendors, while maintaining the upmost level of confidentiality and integrity. Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and effective decision-making capability when assisting employees, handling employee inquiries, or providing overall assistance to the Human Resources Department. Devote your full time to the business and affairs of the company, and to use your best efforts to perform faithfully and efficiently the responsibilities assigned to you. Some travel and overtime are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the strictest of confidentiality regarding all employee issues and information whether processing and maintaining employee personnel files or verbal and written communications.
- Primary responsibility for the entire recruitment process, including:
- Sourcing candidates through active recruiting on LinkedIn and other recruiting sitesq
- Posting all open positions through PayChex, university websites, and veteran websites
- Correspondence with applicants, and timely disposition
- Resume review and initial phone screens
- Setting up candidates for interviews with the hiring manager, coordinating travel arrangements if necessary for out-of-town candidates
- Attending career fairs with HR Manager (may require occasional travel)
- Creation of offer letters
- Complete the pre-start date onboarding process for new employees, including administering employment applications, processing background investigations and drug screenings, assembling new hire orientation booklets to include benefits and payroll documentation and the setting up of new employee files.
- Assist HR Manager in the administration of the performance review process, tracking completion, and following up with managers on overdue reviews.
- Assist HR manager with training initiatives, including:
- Researching appropriate training opportunities and provide enrollment assistance including travel arrangement if needed for all internal and external training.
- Follow-up training initiatives by distributing, accumulating and logging employee training assessments.
- Ensure all new hire training matrix are tracked until completion for ISO compliance.
- Assist with the set-up of new commercial team members training matrix program and technical training matrix.
- Updating and distribution of the organizational charts.
- Work with the HR Manager and Sustainability Specialist to determine and draft any new human resource policies and/or tracking procedures to benefit our sustainability initiatives.
- Be a member of the PPC (Party Planning Committee) and assist the HR Manager with coordination of events.
- Train to become a back-up for bi-weekly input of company-wide payroll, Health Equity payments, 401k bi-weekly contributions, and Lincoln Financial payments.
- Assist HR Manager with distribution of FMLA paperwork, compliance, and time-off tracking.
- HR document scanning and employee file preservation.
- Assistance with any special projects as assigned by the HR Manager.
- Predictable and dependable attendance is required
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE / TRAINING / SKILL and/or ABILITY
*This position will have a heavy focus on full-cycle recruiting.*

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR and full-cycle recruiting is required. PHR or SHRM-CP Certification will be required, but can be obtained during employment. Individual must always practice a high level of integrity and confidentiality in their daily work routine and maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times. Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft® Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook, and, PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task required. The ability to assume responsibility for projects, exercise initiative and judgment, then implement actions without direct supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking periodically throughout the day. Finger and wrist dexterity with repetitive motion also required. For the most part, working conditions will be in ambient room temperatures, and lighting and traditional office equipment provided as found in a typical office environment.
