Position Description: Candidate will be an employee of the Claremont Optical Fiber Manufacturing plant The person shall provide technical support in the area of Facilities Provide support in the manufacturing of optical fiber with a focus on Facilities equipment Management: HVAC/Chillers/Air Compressors/Process Water systems/High Purity Gas Delivery systems etc… Compliant with all requirements in 40 CFR 261-265 concerning hazardous wastes including but not limited to labeling, storage and transportation of hazardous wastes from production areas to Waste Storage Pad Work with the technical staff from multiple departments to resolve daily issues Generate and deploy equipment reliability projects Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management Education Required: Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Minimum three years experience Experience Required: Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner Preferred: Experience in fiber optic manufacturing a plus Experience with Chiller maintenance and optimization Experience with pollution control equipment (Baghouse, Scrubber etc…) Experience with Compressor maintenance and optimization Experience with high purity piping and gas delivery systems Experience with fire detection equipment Experience with power distribution systems and UPS systems Skills/Attributes: Strong data analysis skills Excellent communication skills Knowledge of Basic Statistical Tools Detail and quality orientated Motivated Team Player Ability to work with little supervision Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
