Operations Manager
Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and the metal manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the metal fabrication ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
This position is responsible for driving productivity and financial results. Regularly evaluates organizational efficiency and makes necessary changes to maximize staff productivity. The Plant Manager assesses the needs of the company and finds ways to contribute to the big picture by ensuring daily operations run smoothly and as efficiently as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o Production employees to meet and exceed production efficiencies - minimum 85% plant wide.
o Meeting identified QMS goals, i.e. On Time Delivery, both Internal and External DPMs, etc.
o Negotiated Supplier Pricing and Supplier Audits.
o Passing Customer quality audits.
o Plant safety compliance.
o Inventory accuracy.
o ROIs for Capital Expenditures.
o Maintaining budget to actual for consumables.
o Managing Overtime and Double-time payroll costs.
o Maintain compliance with Union Contract.
o Oversee Equipment maintenance.
o Miscellaneous Projects as needed.
