Registered Nurse Unit Manager

Shift/ Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:00-4:30 (On-Call 24 hours)

Job Summary:
The RN Unit Manager is responsible for a 60 bed SNF unit and oversees and manages nurses and certified staff in the delivery of care on the unit. They ensure that the unit runs efficiently, safely and effectively supervising nursing staff during their daily duties and ensure assessments and orders are completed per MD orders as well as collaborate with nursing administration to ensure optimal functioning of the unit as a whole. This nurse reports directly to the Director of Nursing and assists with evaluating staff performance, maintaining and restoring the health of the resident, managing daily treatments and schedules, enforcing health and safety of all staff and residents on said unit, evaluating and adjusting treatment plans and plan of care based on resident condition, meeting and enforcing federal, state and company policy and procedure and guidelines, completing admission and discharge assessments, delivering hands on care and medication administration as needed, working in collaboration with the Director of Nursing on any issues, acting as al liason between families and healthcare staff.
