Job Description:

L&W Recruiting is currently representing a well-established law firm in Chicago, IL, seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a reputable firm known for its collaborative work environment, commitment to work-life balance, and competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters, with a focus on creditors' rights.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to achieve favorable outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar (or ability to waive in).
  • 2-5 years of experience practicing commercial litigation, with a focus on creditors' rights preferred.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in a midsize or large law firm preferred.
