Job Responsibilities:
· Manage the overall Sales Engineering function with an emphasis on the development and growth of returnable custom protective packaging (racks, plastics & interiors)
· In coordination with the Sales Leadership, identify and penetrate large order opportunities for custom protective packaging (returnable and expendable)
· Achieve effective territory coverage through a combination of joint and independent sales calls, working closely with BIG3 design, engineering, project management and operations
· Prospecting to grow customer base within assigned territory across industries
· Accountable for hitting revenue and margin quotas based on a customer portfolio within a specified territory
· Participate in customer visits and on-site consultation to drive returnable custom protective packaging revenue
· Drive new market development (e.g., rack, plastics, interior) as well as new product introductions
· Maintain exceptional communication with Engineering, Design, Operations and BIG3 Leadership to ensure an effective team selling effort across territories and accounts
· Develop new and innovative approach to market requirements
· Ensure cost estimates are provided within a timely manner while adhering to sound engineering principals and ISO compliance
· This position will support the execution and continuous improvement of the quality policy and procedures as appropriately defined by their direct manager

Work Experience Required:
At least 7 years relevant experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired:
· Knowledge of metal rack, thermoform, injection mold and interior dunnage packaging
· Knowledge of the major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the sales function or business unit
· Knowledge of and ability to use diverse tools, tactics and techniques to persuade a person to perform a desired action
· Knowledge of processes, tools, techniques and theory behind selling the organization's products or services
· Knowledge of and ability to utilize customer profile and information
· Knowledge of and ability to coordinate multiple and diverse options for selling organization's products and services
· Knowledge of specific products and associated development process and strategy
Abilities:
· Speak, read, and write in the English language.
· Stand, Walk, and reach with arms, hands, and fingers.
· Lift, carry, push, pull items up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
· Basic Math; count, add, and subtract.
· PC Skills; Word, Excel, Email, Internet, networking awareness.
· Operate Company Vehicle, Valid Drivers’ License/Good Driving Record, and ability to read maps.
· Operate Office Machines & Equipment.
· Strong understanding of Automotive and Industrial markets.
· Balance of sales and engineering skills.
· CAD design capability.
· 3-5 years direct customer contact.
