Nature Nurture Farmacy is Hiring an Office Assistant Near Chehalis, WA

Our mission at Nature Nurture Farmacy is to build community health through the use of botanical medicine, sustainable food cultivation and empowering education. We are looking for an office assistant who wants to work in a dynamic environment as part of a small team doing important work for our community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting health, nutrition, our local food system, and community connections. Being bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.

Status: Part-time (approximately 17 hours per week)

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday afternoons, second Saturday each month, and occasional additional hours for classes and events (NNF is closed week between Christmas and New Years)

Start Date: early June

Note: This position is guaranteed through the end of the year, with the intention of extending the position once funding is secured.

Compensation: $17.50/hr

Subject: Your Name - Office Assistant application

The Office Assistant will be an integral part of the NNF team. The position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Health Care Clinic Support:

  • Manage patient information/charts/referrals
  • Schedule appointments
  • Keep clinic clean and organized

Marketing/Communications:

  • Support social media and website content
  • Respond to correspondence and inquiries
  • Support fundraising efforts

Event Coordination Support:

  • Help plan/schedule/coordinate event logistics
  • Prepare materials as needed

Community Education/Outreach:

  • Assist with planning and coordination of community classes and events
  • Act as an ambassador of NNF for community events as appropriate
  • Community outreach to specific populations
  • Translating documents

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Google (Gmail, calendar, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft products
  • Ability to maintain systems & strong organization ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respect patient confidence and privacy
  • Enjoyment of supporting others and collaborating in a team

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Healthcare experience and knowledge of office protocols

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

The majority of the work is performed in an open office setting, with computer and phone work for extended periods. They should be comfortable in an office environment with periods of physical activity involving standing, walking, bending, and moderate lifting (up to 25 pounds).
