We are looking for a full-time Senior Civil Designer for civil engineering plan development projects for one of our North Carolina offices (Charlotte, Raleigh, Kernersville). The ideal candidate will have at least 10 to 20 years’ experience.

Pay: 70,000 – 90,000

SENIOR CIVIL DESIGNER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Create construction documents for site plans, grading plans and utility plans.
• Delineate various strata on plan, profile and cross section views.
• Develop 3D digital terrain models using survey information.
• Produce right-of-way and construction plans for roadway projects.
• Implement different drafting and engineering standards.
• Develop proposed right-of-way and easement deed descriptions for property acquisition for roadway construction projects. 
• Perform deed research to determine property ownership.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
• Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
• Minimal regional travel possible 
• Other duties as assigned.

SENIOR CIVIL DESIGNER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Education: 

• Associates degree preferred

Qualifications:

• 10- 20 years of experience required. 
• Proficiency in CAD/Civil 3D, Microstation, GeoPak, and Inroads required.
• Experience with NCDOT standards required.
