New Vista Development is Hiring a Design and Sales Manager Near Chapel Hill, NC
We are a custom home design/build firm with 3-5 clients a year and developing a small rental community with approximately 50 units. This position is for a mid-level manager with the skills for design and sales. Are you an interior designer with an interest in focusing on the structural aspects? Perhaps have an interior architecture degree? Are you a realtor looking to make a change? Perhaps you are someone who is very good with organization, interested in creating homes, and looking to take it to the next level. We are looking for a good fit within our small office and someone with the versatility to take on what's needed to keep the business humming. DESIGN:
Work with clients on their selections and design ideas.
Clients' may hire an outside interior designer or may choose to do much of the interior design work themselves. Either work with outside interior designer or provide guidance to clients. At minimum, review all selections and ideas against plans, for technical compatibility and timeline.
Coordinate with construction project manager to implement clients' wishes.
Estimating, ordering, & arranging pickup/delivery of materials, primarily client selections.
Ensure clients have needed communication from our team.
Update construction management software. (we use CoConstruct)
Depending on skill:
Work closely with General Contractor/Designer and clients on design elements such as kitchen, bathroom, up to whole house.
Develop plans using Chief Architect (must have experience on this or similar system).
SALES:
Manage online advertising plan including our webpage, updating our Facebook, and building other social media if decided.
Develop print media or resources for potential clients or newly signed clients.
Identify and reach out to realtors, architects, or others to develop relationships.
Create and maintain client reference lists, letters, and quotes.
Have initial conversation with prospective clients to vet their project and promote our services.
Research needs for rental complex.
OFFICE & GENERAL SUPPORT:
Processing invoices and providing support for project budgets.
Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems/policies.
As needed, represent the company with home builders' association and other trade groups.
Basic administrative duties including scanning documents regularly, organizing electronic files, obtaining insurance certificates, driving to stores to pick up or return items, and other duties as assigned.
Performing some light site work as needed. (organize materials, cleaning, etc..)
Supervisory responsibilities are likely with a future office assistant.
The job is full-time at approximately 40 hours a week. It has flexible hours though is done primarily between 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. At least 50% of the work must be completed in our office on Legion Road. Some additional work will be at the job sites. You'll be required to complete a timesheet. You'll need your own transportation. We use G-suite for most of our work. REQUIREMENTS:
Undergraduate degree.
Draw, read, edit blueprints if expecting higher entry.
