POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Lead Payroll Supervisor performs all activities necessary to process bi-weekly confidential in-house administrative payroll for approximately 160 employees, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions, and other documentation. Leads the Union Payroll Administrator who processes weekly union payroll for up to 600 employees. Works closely with the HR & Benefits Administrator to complete the accounting functions of employee benefits. This position requires someone who is a self-starter that will enthusiastically support ongoing process improvements. Full time, exempt position. This is not a fully remote role.
Key responsibilities include;
  • All activities necessary to process bi-weekly confidential in-house administrative payroll for approximately 160 employees.
  • Oversees administration of labor union contracts requirements
  • Regulatory reporting & compliance requirements including certified payroll reporting
  • Provide customer service support for payroll related issues
  • Maintain company documents and compliance filings as required
  • Complete payroll tax filings and other related duties as needed
  • Works closely with the Benefits & Compensation Specialist to complete the accounting functions of employee benefits, such as vision and wellness reimbursements, HSA, FSA and 401k contributions, LTD and life insurance premiums.
  • Support HR Dept for new hires / separations, federal reporting, and misc. duties as needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • HS Diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting
  • CPP certification
  • Construction union payroll experience
  • Experience with benefits administration, union contracts
  • Experience with Viewpoint Vista construction ERP software
  • Employee supervision and support

WAGE & BENEFIT INFORMATION
The full salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $119,500.00 people new to this position typically start between $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 depending on direct professional experience, education and qualifications.
Lakeside Industries, Inc. provides a comprehensive benefits package to its full-time Admin employees (and their families) that includes medical with prescription coverage, HSA/FSA, dental, vision reimbursement program, Life/AD&D, LTD, 401k (with employer matching plus discretionary Company Profit Sharing contributions), 128 accrued hours of PTO, extended illness time accrued at five (5) days per year up to a maximum of 200 hours, EAP, wellness program, and seven (7) paid holidays.
