The job of Human Resources Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing administrative and secretarial support to the Director of Talent Acquisition & Employee Services; processing applicants efficiently; maintaining records of employee status; providing information to a variety of individuals/organizations; ensuring confidentiality of records; documenting information and ensuring processing of district/state/federal required reports; and ensuring that personnel procedures conform to District policies. This job reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition & Employee Services.
Essential duties include: coordinates employment process (e.g. meetings, recruitment, tracks vacancies, tracks applicants, tests for skills, etc.); maintains a variety of employment files and records (e.g. salary, eligibility, job descriptions, etc.); monitors a variety of processes; participates in meetings, workshops and seminars, as assigned; prepares a variety of reports and related documents; processes a wide variety of documents and materials; researches employment laws and regulations, contract questions, etc.; responds to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources; screens employment applications; supports the Director of Talent Acquisition & Employee Services and/or department staff; and assists other personnel, as needed.
Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired. Full time with Benefits.
Requirements - High School diploma or equivalent; Pre-employment proficiency test; Criminal Justice fingerprint/background clearance; Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
