The Opportunity :
Under moderate supervision, maintain proper inventory levels throughout the production cycle of the organization's product.
Pull or replenish inventory to satisfy organization needs. Ensure shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained. Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)
Continuous Physical Inventory (CPI)
Conducts entire warehouse stock counts and ensures inventory accuracy.
Responsible for mapping the warehouse and creating ranges for analysis.
Investigates discrepancies that arise at physical inventory grid locations and review variances between the QSS and SAP systems that may not have been caught through reporting mechanisms.
Responsible for running QSS and CPI reports.
Identifies high traffic zones and analyzes root cause.
Prepares monthly reporting to Corporate (Location accuracy, Dollar Accuracy and Completion %).
Audits precursor zone on a monthly basis and reports outcomes.
Daily Stock Checks / Stock Maintenance
Investigates discrepancies with customers’ orders (shorts, overages, and wrong product shipments).
Runs daily report to review QSS / SAP systems for discrepancies that can cause financial impact.
Runs shorted Order Report daily to capture system shorts, validates system accuracy regarding reasons for shorts.
Verifies product lot numbers and dating information for internal Customers
Provides quality assurance (QA) info on product lot numbers and expiry information for product recalls.
Moves inventory stock upon request (both physically and in QSS system). Responsible for holding and releasing products for quality control purposes.
Manages monthly batch conversions verification and monthly monitoring of new batch controlled items added to QSS system-verify load to SAP
Responsible for monthly inventory counts of dated items with life codes in QSS (DTE), validate, rotate and reports.
Analysis of data and physical grid locations to ensure expired product has been removed from inventory and placed in Non-conforming zones. Reports high dollar losses.
Warehouse Short Investigations
Investigates and analyses of short shipments on demand at physical grid locations.
Responsible for logging shorts that require further investigation.
Root cause short investigation for special customers (i.e Lifelabs, Dynacare)
Other
Warehouse daily Stats reporting for Mississauga, Edmonton, Kirkland Lake, Vancouver and St. Catharine’s. Emails spreadsheet daily to upper management
Coordinates quarterly E&O disposal and stock adjustments
Manages weekly review of non-conforming inventory and holds or releases inventory zones as required.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education / Training, Experience and Certifications)
University degree or college diploma; or equivalent years of inventory control experience.
Experience using warehousing computer systems is required.
Previous experience completing wall to wall inventory counts in a large distribution centre.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)
Typically works in an office environment and on the distribution center floor with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
Moderate physical effort is required. Work is sedentary while completing administrative tasks but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying, pushing and pulling objects that typically weigh less than 50 lbs.

Pay Transparency :
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$47,000.00 - $77,000.00
Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
