Job Opportunity : CNC Operator
A client of ours located in Tualatin is looking for a CNC Operator.
About the Company : Founded in 1991, this company has cornered the market in designing, manufacturing, and marketing detachable scope mounting systems.
Permanent hire chance post-contract hours.
Responsibilities :
- Load parts onto fixtures and 4th Axis CNC Machine
- Operate semi-automatic or automatic CNC machines
- Read prints and check part specifications using calipers for accuracy
- Inspect work pieces for accuracy throughout production
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and needs
- Conduct hand tool touch-ups on parts as needed
- Complete production and quality logs daily
- Assemble machined parts to guarantee function
- Measure parts effectively with calipers
- Perform secondary operations to prepare parts for processing
- Utilize hand deburring tools to prep parts
- Maintain a safe and clean workstation
- Perform effective start-up and shut-down procedures
Requirements :
- HS Diploma / GED required; vocational training preferred
- Minimum 2 years' machine operator experience
- Good vision for tasks like reading and inspecting parts
- Understand shift and machine schedules, good at problem-solving
- Willingness to improve processes, communicates well
- Knowledge of hand tools and measuring techniques
- Understanding of equipment controls and managing supplies
- Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure
- Computer literacy with physical capability for the job
Schedule : Monday to Thursday, 3 : 30PM - 2AM, OT available
Pay : $18 - $20 / hr. DOE
