Job Description
HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ASSOCIATE, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to perform diverse administrative services as a resource to the HR and Learning & Development team. Will schedule interviews, perform pre-screening, assist with new employee orientation and onboarding, perform absence management, back up payroll as needed, help with events and budget reconciliation, and handle spreadsheet maintenance. Responsibilities include acting as primary point of contact to greet candidates/members; responding to employees on communications (insurance forms, VOEs, annual policy approvals) and general HR correspondence; monitoring and ordering office and onboarding supplies, etc.; serving as backup for weekly payroll; recordkeeping/audit assistance for employee personnel jackets maintenance; providing logistical support for training programs and social events; keeping materials updated on HR internal communications website and SharePoint calendar pages; running training completion reports; serving Bamboo HR administrator, editing and adjusting all time off banks, performing payroll reconciliations, tracking blackout periods, and maintaining accuracy of record changes; assisting with pre-employment screening verification and updating of the candidate database(s); coordinating new hire orientation, including ordering of IT resources and setting up new hire packages and desk set up; participating in pre-planning of orientation, scheduling presenters for week one of new hire orientation, creating agendas and making other preparations; and participating in other projects as needed.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; five years HR experience; experience working with learning management systems (LMS365 preferred) and BambooHR (HRIS and/or absence management systems); diplomacy; excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with people at all levels; meticulous attention to detail; and proficiency with Microsoft Office365 applications, especially Excel.
