Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions
- Educate clients on addiction, coping mechanisms, and relapse prevention strategies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience in addiction counseling
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for substance use disorders
- Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Compassionate to the needs of the population served
