• Strong knowledge of accounts payable practices
• Ability to meet all deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Capacity to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively with a team
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Familiarity of accounting software and/or other programs
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
Major Responsibilities for this Position
• Review vendor invoices to ensure proper approval prior to entering invoices for payment
• Work closely with managers to ensure proper coding of invoices, expense reports & check requests
• Data entry of invoices and/or credit card charges
• Resolve vendor issues/concerns and reconcile vendor statements
• Ensure tax reporting information is obtained from vendors and accurately recorded and processed
• Match checks to vendor invoices and prepare checks for mailing
• Accurately file vendor invoices and employee expense reports
• Assist with yearend 1099 preparation
• Other special projects as assigned
Requirements
• A minimum of 2-5 years of demonstrated accounts payable experience
• High volume invoice entry
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with the boating industry is a definite plus
