Job Title: Accounts Payable Coordinator
Location: Oakbrook, IL
We currently have an opening for a Accounts Payable at our Oakbrook, IL office. The Accounts Payable position is responsible for accurate processing and timely reconciliation of expense and inventory related invoices to ensure on time payments, as well as conduct research for and communicate professionally with suppliers and the Company’s manufacturing and distribution locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment including matching invoices to receiving, purchase order numbers and packing slips (three-way match)
- Code and verifies account codes on invoices
- Prepares weekly check register for all payables items & prepares file to bank for processing
- Update process documentation as needed for workflow reference materials as updates occur
- Reporting is generated weekly/monthly and saved to AP Shared Folder on LAN
- New vendor set-up and management
- Answers vendor inquiries Research discrepancies
- Undertake special projects & other duties as required
- This position is very “hands on” which requires a detail-oriented personality but also interactive and requires communication with Ascent employees across the east coast as well as venders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in accounting or minimum of ten years’ experience in accounts payable
- ERP experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferable with multi-location responsibility.
- Outgoing personality willing to aggressively research and resolve issues independently.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Works well in a team environment
