Opportunity: Contract Senior Accountant
J2T is seeking a Contract Senior Accountant to support special projects and cover a maternity leave from late summer to late Winter. You'll bring expertise in debits/credits, fixed assets, and month-end close while mentoring the Staff Accountant and AP Specialist. Collaborate closely with the Controller to achieve timely and accurate financial reporting within a three-day close cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute timely month-end close procedures
- Oversee fixed assets totaling $20M
- Provide guidance to Staff Accountant and AP Specialist
- Review and ensure the accuracy of journal entries
- Collaborate with the Controller to optimize processes
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in technical accounting
- 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Ability to perform within a three-day close window
- Prior experience with fixed assets management
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central
Location and Compensation:
- Location: 100% in-office in the Boulder Area
- Contract duration: Through mid-November, potential for extension
- Flexible scheduling with 40 hours per week and occasional overtime
