The City of Boston Credit Union is seeking a hands-on and experienced Controller to provide management and direction to the Accounting and Finance divisions.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will assist the department in all accounting and deposit operations-related functions. The Controller will oversee accounting-related aspects of various programs, to include all regulatory reporting required by auditors and credit union regulators. The Controller will demonstrate expertise in the latest financial principles according to GAAP and federal regulations, as well as a solid understanding of capital markets, asset liability management, balance sheet optimization, and accounting technology. The incoming individual will have supervisory responsibilities for staff in accordance with credit union policies and applicable laws.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting or finance is required. A CPA credential is desired. Five years to ten years of similar or related experience is required. Must have a proactive attitude toward members, supervisors, co-workers and the credit union.
