Title: Patient Registration Lead

Position Responsibilities:

• Performing patient registration duties such as check-in, check out and patient prepping; Working daily reports and requesting authorizations from insurance companies
• Acting as a backup for staff who are out for the day
• Floating between clinics opposite the Patient Registration Supervisor to assist staff with reading transactions, looking up insurance information, and having the authority to support and guide the team through everyday issues
• Participating in the training of both new and current staff members on processes/procedures, the onboarding process, navigating insurance websites, reading account transactions, and actively conducting one on one meetings/trainings
• Acting as the main point of contact for issues that arise in the absence of the Patient Registration Supervisor
• Effectively communicating issues and complications with the Patient Registration Supervisor as they may arise
• Consistently looking for process improvements to increase efficiencies
• Assisting the supervisor with clerical duties, including creating weekly staff schedules and seating assignments
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred
• Previous customer service experience is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
• Must have the flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays
• Ability to travel to other ORA locations as needed
