Position Responsibilities:

• Answering all incoming calls related to appointment scheduling
• Communicating with patients to schedule, cancel, or reschedule appointments
• Transferring patient calls to the correct person or department as needed
• Verifying and updating patient demographic information over the phone
• Reviewing and analyzing physician's schedules daily to ensure optimal patient care
• Managing and coordinating all patient referrals through communication with other physician's offices and hospitals
• Entering new Workers' Compensation sets and gathering all necessary information to get the patient scheduled
• Assisting with attorney scheduling as needed
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
• Previous appointment scheduling experience is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate and interact with patients, caregivers, and staff from diverse backgrounds
