Position Description: Client Services Representative

REPORTS TO: Client Care Managers

POSITION OVERVIEW: Client Services Representatives (CSR) will perform a variety of duties to facilitate the interaction of Kenwood Animal Hospital with our clients with the goal of providing the best patient experience. This includes performing the duties of receptionist, performing financial transactions, and acting as liaison between clients and doctors/technical staff. A CSR is “The Face of Kenwood” and, as such, requires an enthusiastic, pleasant individual with a sincere desire to do what is best for our patients, clients, and the Hospital.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• greeting pets and clients in a friendly and welcoming manner which includes: smiling, making eye contact, and projecting a positive demeanor
• checking in appointments, notifying doctors and techs, discharging patients
• scheduling appointments
• answering client inquiries, forwarding or follow up as needed
• preparing paperwork for daily appointments, procedures, visits
• Handling requests medication refills
• maintaining smooth running of waiting room/appointment schedule
• appointment book management
• maintaining waiting room appearance and flow
• records exchange with specialists and other hospitals
• performing callbacks and reminders as needed
• preparing client education materials (puppy/kitten packages, brochures/handouts)
• handling transactions and end-of-day settlement/holding update
• assisting clients through every step of the check-in and check-out process to include: assisting client with carrying bags, supplies, food, or their animal to their vehicle
• daily maintenance of public hospital areas
• Notifying clients about rebates, sales, specials and online pharmacy options at the time of invoicing

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
