Main Job Tasks and Work Characteristics:
- Respond to Public Records Requests
- Assist with Property Damage Hearings
- Assist with Workers' Compensation matters
- Assist with all aspects of contract review, development and approval to ensure contracts are efficiently developed and utilized by administrative staff. At the direction and instruction of the General Counsel, ensures that all contracts entered, meet sound business practices, statutory requirements, Commission Bylaws, spending limits, sufficient insurance coverage and internal guidelines and procedures.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school, licensed to practice law in Ohio and 0-3 years' experience
- Valid Driver's license
- Knowledge and experience in Ohio's Sunshine laws and contract laws a plus
- Skilled in the use of computers and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and assume immediate responsibility.
- Strong legal research, writing skills and communication skills.
- Must be collaborative, cooperative and collegial.
