Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our team. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar panel systems. This is a hands-on position that requires knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to work at heights.
Duties:
- Install solar panels on rooftops or other structures using hand tools and power tools
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with the layout and design of solar panel systems
- Connect solar panels to electrical systems, including inverters and batteries
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on installed solar panel systems
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions with the solar panel system
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work at heights and on rooftops
- Previous experience as a commercial electrician or in fixture installation is preferred
