Job Summary:

The Controller is responsible for ensuring the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes are completed and accurate, monitoring and facilitating month, quarter, and year-end closing procedures, assist in generating month end financial statements and reports and is responsible for efficiently executing financial package within compliance and accounting standards.

Manager Responsibilities, if applicable:

• Daily supervision for the Accounting team, managing and review teams performance/progress on an ongong basis to meet company goals
• Main point of contact for day-to-day activities regarding business finances
• Provide leadership, direction, guidance and motivation to the team and maintain positive team relations
• Monitor and adjust workloads, delegation of new projects
• Validate and monitor team performance providing feedback and positive corrective action as needed
• Develop and maintain internal processes focused on continuous improvement

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual distribution of accurate financial reports, expense and revenue details
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting with cross-functional teams
• Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement, balance sheet, reconcile accounts, handle G/L analysis, project margins, and profitability analysis
• Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities
• Point of contact for internal and external audits
• Contribute to strategic company financial planning and execution

• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects by prioritizing and managing time independently, and change direction quickly to accommodate changing business needs

• Decisive and able to make educated recommendations regarding company financial decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience:

• Accounting/Finance Degree and 5-7 years of recent Controller or similar experience
• Background in industry leading accounting software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
• Strong experience in managing direct reports
• Thorough knowledge and application of financial package reporting, GAAP, and federal and state regulations

Travel Requirement:

• Occasional travel, approximately 4 times per year for business needs
