Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking a Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper for a temporary-to-hire opportunity with our client and assist with small company bookkeeping, tax preparation, and QuickBooks transactions. This role offers flexibility in hours and the opportunity to transition from part-time to full-time based on business needs.Responsibilities:Complete tax returns, including individual and business returns, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.Handle most QuickBooks transactions, including AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.Assist with small company bookkeeping tasks, such as financial statement preparation and payroll processing.Collaborate with the team to ensure all tax filings and financial transactions are completed accurately and on time.Work closely with clients to gather necessary information for tax returns and provide guidance on tax-related matters.Qualifications:3 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual and business returns.Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong knowledge of AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.Experience with small company bookkeeping tasks and financial statement preparation.Ability to work flexible hours, with the potential for full-time hours during the busy tax season (January-April).Detail-oriented mindset and strong analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Position Logistics:Flexible hours with the opportunity to work full-time during the busy tax season and part-time during the offseason.Fully onsite position.Overtime is expected during the busy tax season and can be banked as paid time off during the offseason.Salary is dependent on experience.Temporary-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.If you meet the qualifications for this position and are interested in joining our client's team, please contact us at (314) 262-4344 to learn more.
