NavitsPartners is Hiring a Human resource specialist Near Bronx, NY

Job Title : Human Resources Specialist

Department : PSD-Human Resources Department

Location : 466 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10017

Position Type : Contract (Temp-to Perm)

Duration of Contract : 12 Weeks

Schedule : Mon-Fri. (Flexibility to work until 6pm as needed)

Shift : 9AM 5PM

Important Notes :

  • A background in employment law (paralegal, lawyer, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • This position is primarily on-site but may offer remote flexibility after discussions during the interview process.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel to any of the 11 facilities for meetings or in-person employee conversations as needed.

The float opportunity will be discussed further during the on-site interview.

HR Specialist Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate all HR policies, procedures, and structures.
  • Design and implement effective training and development plans.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual employee performance reviews.
  • Maintain and update employee records with new hire information and changes in employment status.
  • Identify the company's hiring needs and manage the recruitment process for a smooth experience.
  • Track department budgets.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

HR Specialist Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience in HR, legal or compliance, or another related field.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local protected class designations and relevant laws / guidance pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).pen spark
