Job Summary:

In this crucial role within our finance team, you will be working in essential financial operations such as sales tax preparation, financial close, inventory costing, collections, and payables. Suited for someone proficient with ERP systems to enhance accounting practices, this position is ideal for a self-driven, adaptable, and detail-oriented individual. This role requires someone who can efficiently carry out tasks in a supportive environment, handle multiple responsibilities with precision, and consistently demonstrate a high level of accuracy. A successful candidate will take ownership of their tasks and responsibilities, ensuring not only accuracy and compliance but also contributing to the team and the company’s broader goals.

Responsibilities:

• Sales Tax Preparation: Prepare and file sales tax returns accurately, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Financial Close: Co-own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Inventory Costing: Oversee the process of inventory costing, accurately reflecting it in the financial statements.
• ERP Systems: Utilize ERP systems to improve and streamline the accounting processes.
• Independent and Proactive Work Ethic: Handle tasks and projects independently, displaying initiative and a forward-thinking approach.
• Quick Learner with Attention to Detail: Adapt quickly to new procedures and information, focusing on accuracy in all accounting tasks.
• Assist with Collections Management: Help manage collections to ensure timely receivables and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with Accounts Payable: Aid in managing payables, including processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• CPA certification is a plus
• Experience in accounting, particularly with inventory costing and ERP systems
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in accounting software, ERP Systems (Business Central is a plus), and MS Office
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
