The agency represents many insurance companies to offer the right combination of price, coverage and service for each client while providing personalized assistance and reliable support. The Amana Insurance Agency is a part of Amana Society, Inc.

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service and fostering long-term client relationships. The CSR serves as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance on a variety of insurance products and services.

The Customer Service Representative works closely with agents and other staff to assist clients in navigating the complexities of insurance. This individual will be required to obtain the necessary licensing within their first 90 days of employment to ensure their success at the Amana Insurance Agency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Customer Support: Serve as the first point of contact for clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries regarding insurance policies, coverage options, claims processing, and billing inquiries.

· Policy Management: Assist clients with policy changes, updates, and renewals. Educate clients on policy features, terms, and conditions to ensure understanding and compliance.

· Claims Handling: Guide clients through the claims process, including filing claims, documenting incidents, and liaising with insurance adjusters to expedite claim resolution. Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on claim status.

· Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by actively listening to their needs, concerns, and feedback. Anticipate and address potential issues to prevent escalations and foster long-term client loyalty.

  • Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative duties such as data entry, maintaining client records, and processing policy documents accurately. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory changes. Continuously update knowledge through training sessions and professional development opportunities to provide informed guidance to clients.

Requirements

· Minimum 2 year experience in a customer service and/or administrative role

· Minimum of 1-2 years experience in property and casualty preferred

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong computer skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office products

· Excellent organization skill and ability to multi-task effectively

· Positive, empathetic attitude and enjoyment of continuous learning

· Associates, or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

· Requires a Property & Casualty Insurance License within first 90 days of employment.

Work Environment

· Work is performed on site at the Amana Insurance Agency in a professional office environment.

· Shifts are primarily Monday – Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Fridays 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the very occasional evening or weekend day.

· This position is not eligible for remote work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
