We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the Manufacturing industry located in ALSIP, Illinois, United States. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations in a manufacturing plant, with a focus on cost accounting and inventory control. This role requires leadership experience and skills in process improvement, month-end close, general ledger, and journal entries. Responsibilities:• Oversee and manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements• Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures• Coordinate all audit activity• Leverage skills in cost accounting and inventory control to ensure accurate financial reporting• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner• Monitor the financial performance of the company by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances• Utilize leadership experience to streamline and improve processes• Implement and manage software systems and tools to provide critical financial and operational information• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting• Ensure month-end and year-end close processes are completed accurately and on time.
