CT TECHNOLOGIST FOR 13 WEEK CONTRACT IN ALBANY, GA!

Travel Contract (Must Reside 75 Miles Away)

The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires operating CT equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring the highest quality of images while adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiologic science, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

$2,386.00 per Week (Taxed Non-Taxed)

Nights (Fri, Sat, & Sun)

3x12 Hr. Shifts (36 Hrs. per Week)

Responsibilities:

• Perform CT Scans: Execute high-quality CT imaging procedures according to physician orders, ensuring accurate positioning of patients to capture precise images.
• Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for CT scans, providing clear instructions and maintaining a calm and supportive environment. Address patient concerns and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Equipment Operation: Operate CT imaging equipment and adjust settings as necessary to obtain optimal images. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment.
• Image Quality Assurance: Review images for clarity, completeness, and diagnostic quality. Collaborate with radiologists to ensure images meet required standards and assist in further evaluations if necessary.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self. Use protective equipment and follow established procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and imaging results in the electronic medical record system. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, other technologists, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and CT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in operating CT equipment and related software.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and radiologic principles.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
