We are in search of an experienced and efficient Medical Billing Specialist (Biller/Coder) to join our dynamic team specializing in anesthesia practice management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successful medical billing and coding within the healthcare sector, with a focus on optimizing revenue cycles and ensuring accurate claim submissions. 

Responsibilities:

• Accurately assign and review diagnosis and procedure codes for anesthesia services.
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers to ensure proper documentation and coding.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits of coded records to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Stay abreast of changes in coding regulations and anesthesia billing guidelines.
• Adhering to HIPAA guidelines in all coding and billing activities.
• Proactively address coding-related inquiries by working closely with internal departments.
• Monitor and analyze denial patterns to minimize future denials and optimize revenue.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Medical Biller/Coder in Anesthesia Revenue Cycle Management.
• Strong proficiency in anesthesia coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) and medical terminology.
• Analytical skills with acute attention to detail in evaluating complex claim scenarios.
• Demonstrated written and verbal skills in interacting with stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and anesthesia-specific claims management software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
• 3 years of proven experience as a Medical Biller/Coder
• Relevant certifications in anesthesia coding or billing (e.g. CPC, CPB, CCS).
• In-depth knowledge of anesthesia billing guidelines and payer policies.
• Experience with anesthesia-specific claims management software.
