Salary $115,000 - $135,000 per year
A Bit About UsWe are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled Accounting Manager to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. This is an opportunity to work remotely (ideally in Dallas, TX or Columbia, MD for occasional office visits) and play a crucial role in our financial management department. As an Accounting Manager, you will supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities. You will be tasked with establishing financial status through developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and deep knowledge of regional laws and regulations. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity, etc.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Provide recommendations.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Meet financial accounting objectives.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Experience in franchise accounting is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager.
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, general ledger, internal controls, account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
