This position is 7.5 hours / day - 185 days per school year. This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.
Purpose Statement :
The job of Water Safety Assistant is done for the purpose / s of providing basic instruction to students; monitoring students and the public;
complying with mandated health requirements; and maintaining accurate records.

SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include : adhering to safety practices; administering first aid;
operating equipment used in swimming pool maintenance and operations; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.

Generally the job requires 100% sitting, % walking, and % standing. The job is performed under with some temperature extremes and some hazardous conditions.
