The Opportunity

We are a growing manufacturer’s rep firm based in Florida that represents commercial HVAC products. We are currently seeking a Parts Operations Manager responsible for inventory control, sales data management, and day-to-day oversight of distribution center operations. Must have attention to detail, be customer service oriented and work well with others. This position needs a self-motivated team player who can be an active part of our team and seeks remedies to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all aspects of inventory control including replenishment, stocking, and physical inventory.
  • Evaluates stock, selects items and issues purchase orders for timely and economical delivery.
  • Oversees parts distribution center operations including shipping, receiving, and transfers.
  • Oversees physical inventory and cycle counting for all physical locations statewide.
  • Manages inventory profile strategy; Makes decisions regarding stocking locations and inventory levels.
  • Proactively manages data and data sources; Prepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting / metrics.
  • Coaching, training, and professional development of direct reports
  • Assists with budgeting/forecasting, data analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as requested.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
  • Some overnight travel required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ general business experience including project management, office administration, financial reporting, etc.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite; must become proficient in Microsoft D365 F&O
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proven problem solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities; experience with process adherence and suggesting improvement to processes.
  • HVAC Industry Experience a plus

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Environmental Requirements
Will be required to work in an office environment and possibly, occasionally in the field.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate the computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
