JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY: Resolves adjustment inquires within the Bank’s practices and procedures. Responsibilities include: investigates daily incoming adjustment inquires; resolves differences; answers service requests and inquires received from various channels; determines accounting entries and makes appropriate disposition. Maintains internal operational and financial controls and ensures that they are observed for all assigned cases. Provide support \ training to other associates within the department. Has thorough knowledge of the Adjustment functions and handles more complex cases which require analytical and problem resolution skills. Knowledgeable \ follows guidelines as imposed and regulated by the Federal Reserve as applicable to each adjustment type. Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Check 21 and REG CC. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyzes and processes incoming adjustment requests by reviewing reports, image/document archive, general ledger accounts, account statements and cash letter reports. Performs entries to customer, general ledger, and other internal bank accounts to correct posting errors. Focuses primarily is on medium to high complexity case resolution while adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all cases. Submits daily adjustment requests to the Federal Reserve via FedLine, ensuring each request is completed with all required information including reporting time frames, required fields, and supporting documentation requirements. Completes the necessary forms to notify a clearing bank of an adjustment entry. Maintains documentation on outstanding adjustment entries. Processes and initiates adjustment entries from other financial institutions. Interacts with customers, branch employees, and outside contacts to research and resolve issues regarding customer accounts. Prepares and sends notifications and letters to bank customers and associates related to adjustments and information needs. Provides documentation for SOX404, audit, and compliance requests. Responsible for adherence to deadlines, policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and achieving quality standards. Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: High School Diploma or GED 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training No certification, licensure or registrations are required to successfully apply for this job Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient operation of Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with customers and bank personnel Must be able to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with all levels of internal and external customers Effective attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational skills Ability to formulate sound conclusions and recommend optimal course of action based on analysis Ability to work in high volume environment, adhering to production standards and SLA’s set by management Working knowledge of DSS TRIPS Exception Processing application preferred Accounting background and general ledger reconcilement skills ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
