Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of our new five-star Japanese restaurant. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to all restaurant staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and vendor relations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish served.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and exceed performance goals.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, such as revenue, expenses, and profitability, and take proactive measures to achieve targets.
  • Cultivate relationships with guests, soliciting feedback and implementing improvements to enhance the dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to develop and refine menus, ensuring they align with our brand identity and guest preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment at all times.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management, with a proven track record of success in a high-end dining establishment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and team collaboration.
  • Thorough understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
  • Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culture is highly desirable.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
