What You’ll Do:

  • Run the Kitchen: Keep the kitchen humming! This means keeping things clean, making sure our food is safe to eat, and making sure all the gear is in tip-top shape.
  • Cook up Yumminess: You’ll be the maestro of the kitchen, whipping up mouthwatering meals, snacks, and desserts that our residents will rave about. Some of our residents have special dietary requirements, and you’ll be a pro at catering to them, making sure everyone gets a tasty and nutritious meal.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment among kitchen personnel.
  • Make Residents Happy: Chat with our residents and their families, listen to their food preferences, and make their dining experience extra special!

What You Bring:

  • Education: A high school degree or something equivalent to it. A culinary degree or something equivalent to a culinary certification is preferred. Current obtains an ServeSafe certification.
  • Culinary Expertise: Previous experience in a similar culinary role, including menu planning and food preparation.
  • Dietary Knowledge: Understanding of various dietary requirements, including therapeutic diets, and the capability to adapt menus accordingly.
  • Resident Centric Attitude: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service, especially when interacting with residents and their families.

Working Conditions: The Dining Service Director can expect a dynamic and rewarding work environment.
