**Job Overview:**
WE CARE Ministries is seeking a mission-minded individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various sales and customer service tasks, ensuring a positive experience for all clients and customers.
**Duties:**
- Tasks include picking up, receiving, storing, and distributing food to community members in need. The food bank manager oversees and manages all aspects of the food bank, including food sourcing and inventory management. The manager will always adhere to the first-in-first-out (FIFO) policy to ensure shelf life.
- Food must be ordered from Ruler Foods when necessary. Before placing an order, an inventory of all items on hand must be completed. This will ensure proper inventory levels are met.
- As part of ensuring food safety, the Food Bank Manager is required to perform temperature readings twice a day and diligently log them in.
- The Food Bank Manager is responsible for training food bank staff and volunteers, a key aspect of ensuring the smooth operation of the food bank. This role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Food assistance is provided twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Prior to these days, dry goods will be prepared in advance to ensure speedy service to customers. Upon completion of Food assistance, freezers will be restocked and dry goods will be prepped.
- Walmart donations will be received, and dates will be marked on each box so that the oldest dates can be used first. Ruler Foods deliveries will also be dated on each box.
- At the end of each day, all boxes will be broken down, trash taken out, and general housekeeping will be performed to ensure spaces are clean.
- The Food Bank Manager is to oversee the inventory and distribution of Christmas Food Packages, Toys, and other Food Bank programs. This requires preparation year-round.
- Handle customers' and clients' inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- The Food Bank Manager is also needed to provide customer service in outside sales on Wednesdays and every other Saturday.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements:**
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and sales processes efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills to address client and customer needs effectively
- Experience in product demonstrations and explaining product features is a plus
- Prior logistic, warehouse, and/or sales experience or willingness to learn sales techniques
- Fluency in English for effective communication with customers and team members
- Ability to handle stock management tasks effectively
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
