Job summary

An exciting opportunity to work within the theatre orderly team at the Freeman Hospital.

You must be flexible to meet the needs of the service and cover a variety of shift patterns as necessary.

You must be able to deal with the general public and have excellent communication skills .

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the safe transfer of patients to and from the theatres and back to the wards.

Cleanliness of patient trollies and beds and the re stocking of theatre trollies.

Checking and re stocking of equipment daily, to assist theatre personnel as and when required.

Job responsibilities

  • Cleaning and care of patient trolleys.
  • Checking and stocking of theatre facilities and to assist the theatre personnel as required.

Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
