CordeValle is seeking a dedicated and professional Pool Server to join our team for the season. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders, retrieving and serving alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food to members and guests according to hotel and club specifications, courteously and efficiently. This is a seasonal position running through October requiring holiday and weekend availability.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

- **Service Excellence:** Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards. Ensure superior standards are maintained daily.
- **Restaurant Knowledge:** Have complete knowledge of pool operations, hours of operation, and proper set-up.
- **Beverage Knowledge:** Understand all liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes. Know the characteristics and descriptions of all wines/champagnes and major wines on the list.
- **Menu Knowledge:** Be well-versed in all menu items, prices, preparation methods/times, major ingredients, quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and presentation.
- **Compliance:** Strictly adhere to state liquor regulations, especially those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving. Comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.

**Guest Service:**
- Take guests’ food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
- Record guest orders following departmental service procedures.
- Retrieve and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with departmental standards.
- Open and serve wine/champagne bottles.
- Serve food courses and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Anticipate guests' and members' needs and respond promptly, maintaining positive guest relations at all times.

- **Maintenance:**
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Clear courses following procedures and remove soiled wares to the dishwashing area.
- Clean and reset area immediately after guest departure.

- **Closing Duties:**
- Properly store reusable goods and break down items as specified.
- Clean all equipment and restock items for the next service.
- Complete all closing procedures and report to the supervisor before leaving.

- **Guest Interaction:** Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
