As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and serving as the worksite representative for subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and government inspectors. You will ensure that every project runs in compliance with all national and local procedures, regulations, and codes, and will provide progress updates to appropriate management channels regularly. With every project, the Construction Manager will be counted on to drive the innovation were known for.
Responsibilities
  • Review and approve building permits and assess file accuracy and feasibility.
  • Create construction folders and make necessary revisions to the final set of plans for each project.
  • Oversee and manage all onsite budgets effectively.
  • Coordinate supervision requirements, including the setup of construction trailers/utilities, tools/equipment, site security, storage, and signage.
  • Manage sub-contractors by sourcing, assessing, and choosing sub-contractors, as well as overseeing, training, and regulating their performance.
  • Contribute construction-related information to strategic plans, implement production and quality standards, and address any operational issues.
  • Achieve construction project objectives by defining project scope, estimating required resources, establishing standards and protocols, coordinating staff and sub-contractors, and resolving design issues.
  • Participate in inspections at crucial project phases, obtaining buyer approvals, and ensuring timely completion of all punch work.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, enforcing regulations, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in line with legal standards and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  • Must have 5 years of residential home building experience (as Construction Manager, Builder, or Superintendent).
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • An HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical License is preferred but not required.
  • Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprint plans.
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn new software.
  • Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to crawl in tight spaces or climb ladders.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and problem-solve effectively.
  • Must possess a Valid State of Texas drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check and a drug test.
