Job Description:

We are seeking a creative, experienced and hands-on Director of Finance to join our dynamic finance team. This pivotal role will help shape our financial management framework. The ideal candidate will have mastery of Excel, skillfulness at effectively prioritizing multiple deliverables in a fast paced and evolving industry, be curious and have an eye for continuous improvement. This role demands expertise in technical accounting and reporting concepts (GAAP), cost accounting, consolidated financial reporting, budget to actual analysis, experience in audit readiness and interfacing with external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and budget management.
• Oversee the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement robust cost accounting models, controls, processes and procedures to track production costs and optimize financial performance.
• Oversee comprehensive budget-to-actual analyses to support strategic decision-making and maintain financial goal alignment.
• Manage audit readiness and financial statement audits, collaborating closely with external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance and transparency.
• Drive the financial planning process, including annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
• Implement and optimize financial systems and tools to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Champion initiatives to strengthen internal controls, streamline financial processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA highly preferred.
• At least 7 years of direct hands-on finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role.
• Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, cost accounting, and financial audits.
• Exceptional Excel skills and ability to work within multiple financial systems and tooling.
• Proven leadership abilities, excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to a rapidly changing landscape and efficiently manage deliverables.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.

Work environment: This role offers flexibility of hybrid or remote work, with hours aligned to PST timezone.

Physical demands: Working from a desk, sitting for prolonged periods of time.
