Job Description

We seek a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team at La Quinta Inn & Suites Convention Center, McAllen, TX. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be our guests' first point of contact, ensuring they have a memorable and pleasant experience from check-in to check-out. If you have excellent customer service skills, thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and enjoy providing exceptional service to guests, we want to hear from you!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere upon their arrival.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Provide information and answer inquiries about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate guest records, including personal information and payment details.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any issues.
  • Assist in managing reservations, cancellations, and room assignments.
  • Process payments, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a professional and inviting appearance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and be able to learn new software programs as necessary.
  • Must have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a variety of situations and with different levels of authority and responsibility.
  • Must be able to work some weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
