STERNO – A Sterno Group Company is Hiring a National Account Specialist Near Plano, TX

Reports to: Contracts & Pricing Manager, with dotted line reporting to the Director of National Accounts and National Account Manager.

The National Account Specialist is an internal sales support position that works alongside, and supports, Sales Management as a member of Sterno's National Accounts Team. Within this team's purview is managing and overseeing B2B relationships with select National Distributors, Chains, and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO's). It will support all areas of Sterno's relationships with these accounts while working cross-functionally with other internal teams. A successful candidate for the National Account Specialist position will be detailed oriented, have a passion for providing best-in-class service and support, will be analytical, self-motivated, solution-focused, and will thrive working in a fast-paced team setting that is located both on-site and remote.

The desired candidate for this position will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • Ability to honor privacy and confidentiality
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years' experience supporting B2B sales

Duties and responsibilities relating to this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate and manage key customer-related functions including: sales proposals, customer contracts, pricing changes, national sales campaigns, and forecasting
  • Manage GPO sales reporting including: sales analysis, cost analysis, sales promotion tracking, marketing fund accruals and general reporting
  • Aid in managing and executing key contract requirements including: recurring rebates, price change terms and national account exceptions
  • Serves as liaison between customer and Sterno Marketing functions, administering all program brand specifications and customization of applicable marketing materials
  • Responsible for the management and administration of GPO electronic systems, portals, catalogs and databases required for key business functions such as PO & Invoice status, scorecards, item setup, sales and promotional activity
  • Project management and coordination
  • Customer and trade show coordination
  • Provides administrative support for the National Accounts Team to include, but is not limited to:
    • General administrative duties (mailings, copies, proof reading, etc.)
    • Drafting letters and communication
    • Constructing PowerPoint presentations and presentation slide decks
    • Establish and maintain a filing and archiving system
    • Coordinate sample requests and marketing materials
  • Represent the National Accounts Team in meetings and within cross-functional teams as needed
  • Support other Sterno projects, functions, and/or initiatives as needed and requested.
  • Represent Sterno with professional acumen and integrity in all work-related functions and activities.
  • May require limited travel
