Service Manager

We are looking for a Service Manager at our New Haven, IN location!

The primary responsibility of our **Service Manager** is to directly supervise and coordinate the activities of all commercial technicians; assist in selling goods and services to customers; dispatch and coordinate service for customers at customer facilities or for road service.

**Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

* Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel

* Monitor work levels and review performance

* Recommend personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, discharges, and discipline.

* Conduct or arrange for employee training

* Compile personnel records, such as time and production records, test results, etc. as required.

* Greet customers and ascertain customer needs/desires

* Explain and obtain approval from customers for unexpected repairs

* Answer telephones

* Compute sales prices, total purchases, and process payments

* Maintain knowledge of current promotions, policies regarding payment, exchanges, and returns, and security practices

* Meet with vendors and suppliers regarding commercial service products

* Oversee completion of work, using equipment such as hand tools or gauges to verify compliance with standards

* Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or safety violations

* Investigate accidents/injuries and prepare reports of findings.

* Maintain hazmat book per OSHA o Prepare and administer department budget, coordinate purchases

Requirements

* 2-4 years related experience

* Valid drivers license; driving record must meet companys insurance requirements

* Ongoing training is required per companys standards

* TIA 300 level certification required

* Fork lift training

* OSHA training

* MSHA training,

* Ability to learn and operate point of sale system to create work orders and invoice customers in a timely and efficient manner

* General computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
